Grammar note

As dì it means ground, earth, or place. Appears in 地方 (place), 地图 (map), 地铁 (subway), 土地 (land), 地球 (Earth).

Written particle that converts an adjective or adjectival phrase into an adverbial modifier: 慢慢地走 (walk slowly). Do not confuse with 的/得.
