After the verb, introduces a complement of degree or manner: 说得很好. Structure: verb + 得 + result complement.

As dé it means to obtain or achieve something. Appears in 得到 (to obtain), 得了 (to achieve a result), and compounds like 觉得 (to feel/think).

Do not confuse 得/的/地: 得 comes after the verb; 的 links possession or modifies nouns; 地 turns adjectives into adverbs.
